One evening, a friend stopped by to give us two trout he had caught that day on his fishing trip. They were in a bucket with some ice. After he left, we were looking in the bucket and one of the fish started to move! Our daughter, Bailey, burst into tears when she saw that. "We have to save him!" She named him Greenie. We said, okay. We'll try. We filled the bucket with water and he began to swim. It was bedtime. Bailey went to sleep with hope that Greenie would survive. By the next morning, Greenie had passed away. Bailey said we had to have a funeral for him. We buried him in the backyard with speeches and prayers. Then we ate the other trout for dinner. Bailey was fine with that.
